The VSX-LX505 powers 9.2 dedicated channels with 120 watts per channel and has the processing power to up that to 11.2 channels with the addition of pre-amplifiers.

To ensure the best home entertainment experience possible, the VSX-LX505 is equipped with IMAX® Enhanced Audio and Dirac Live^® Room Correction for a full home which adjusts sound according to the space and speakers while offering improved musical staging, dialog, and deeper bass. And you can go beyond a one room experience – the Pioneer VSX-LX505 brings cinema-quality sound and images to multiple rooms so you can have the premium experience in multiple rooms at once.

120 Watts Per Channel

With 120 Watts per channel (8 ohms, 20 Hz-20 kHz, THD 0.08 %, 2ch Driven FTC) the VSX-LX505 can power a 9.2 channel configuration or support up to 11.2 channels with additional amplification, so you can have the full home theater setup with an extra kick of power.

Pristine Listening, Any Room

State-of-the-art Dirac Live room correction technology takes the room out of the equation and unlocks your loudspeakers’ full potential—no upgrade required. It automatically calibrates sound to the room using either a smartphone + the included wired mic or the Dirac Live PC/MacOS app + a 3rd party USB mic (not included). You’ll get a more accurate measurement of your surround sound positioning and more precise and balanced sound overall.

Auto Room Tuning

Pioneer’s Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration System (MCACC) automatically adjusts sound according to your listening area and speakers by suppressing the standing waves that occur between walls or ceiling and the floor. Additionally, Auto Phase Control Plus makes real-time analysis of the phase difference and automatically compensates for the gap, resulting in strong bass and clear high-frequency sound.

Bi-Directional Bluetooth

Now, Bluetooth connectivity is even better with bi-directional Bluetooth. Stream from your device to the AVR using SBC or AAC codecs, or transmit audio playing through the AVR to compatible wireless headphones. This is great news if you want to stream from your phone or for the gamer in your life…or maybe for the person who doesn’t want to hear what their gamer is playing.
