RS1

A two-way speaker system RS1 was created on the base of the model R1, being issued for more than six years. New monitors are almost the same externally - the same compact body with reverse placement of drivers, midbass RR125 with 125-mm paper diffuser and a phase-equalizing bullet in the center. The main difference is not evident - this is a recently developed tweeter of unique design. The negative impact of the back radiation was avoided due to the fact that the magnetic system freely blows and the silk dome at the same time actually works in free space. From rear the tweeter is closed by a cap in the form of a cone. It is noteworthy that the frequency range of RS1 is not specified in the documentation. Digits here will really show a little - RS1 need to be listened. Due to live, bright middle at the highest detailing their sound seems to be very musical. The space is built brilliant, the system seems to be absent, and imaginary sources exist as if on their' own. There no questions to tonal balance too, of course if close eyes on the lack of bass as such. And the dynamics is noticeably pressed that is not surprising for a paper midbass of such a caliber. However, the top is transparent and light, the clarity is just phenomenal. And certainly, these babies are out of competition by the ability to transfer the smallest tonal hints.

Rega io 

The io has been designed to offer exceptional Rega performance at an affordable price point. It uses the same amplifier stage as the multi-award winning Brio now designed to run at 30 W per channel into 8 Ω. The io features two line level inputs, a high specification Rega moving magnet phono stage, and a dedicated high quality headphone output. The io will integrate seamlessly into any home audio system whilst remaining simple to use and easy to set up. A must for demonstration.

Because music matters

The io uses the same power amplifier and phono stage as its larger brother, the multi-award winning Brio. The io aims to deliver exceptional sound quality in a smaller and more cost effective package. The class A/B circuit shares its DNA with the rest of Rega’s amplifiers, and as usual, great care has been taken in component selection. Sanken output transistors and an Alps volume potentiometer and a linear power supply that enables an output of 30 watts per channel into 8 Ω. Two line level inputs and a high quality moving magnet phono input are available as sources. There is a headphone output provided on the front of the unit for powering standard hi-fi headphones; this is driven from the power amplifier stage of the unit through relays to avoid signal degradation when headphones are inserted or the product is muted. A new redesigned mini remote handset is included.

PLANAR 1 

This multi-award winning ‘Plug and Play’ design utilises our handmade RB110 tonearm, with pre-set bias and a factory fitted Carbon cartridge. Set-up is possible in under 30 seconds and delivers incredible performance well beyond its price point.

TONEARM

Brand new RB110 tonearm built with the new Rega designed, bespoke, ultra-low friction bearings (patent pending). New bias assembly and integrated arm clip. Includes automatic bias adjustment negating the need for the user to set bias, making this the most ‘plug & play’ turntable we have ever manufactured. Ergonomically, designed headshell for improved usability and appearance.

24 V SYNCHRONOUS MOTOR
